- A - start the game
When you drop by a visit, the fortune teller will greet you first. Press A to advance through their welcome. When the parchment ink runs dry, the main hub options appear.
Using the Playdate Simulator
If you are not familiar with the Playdate and would like to use the simulator on your computer, follow these steps:
- Download the Playdate SDK (windows, mac or linux) and install it
- Open the Playdate Simulator. You should find it under:
PlaydateSDK\bin\PlaydateSimulator.* - Download the game from itch.io
- Extract the
Wee Tarot.pdxfile from the zipped game folder - Drag and drop
Wee Tarot.pdxin the Playdate Simulator.

Now you can also play other Playdate games available on itch.io, plus that’s the developer pack that you can use it to make your own games, just like I did this one!
There’s a lot of great resources from the community out there including Pulp (a web based game maker for Playdate that is fun and easy to use, great for first timers).
